What’s New, What’s Free & What’s a Bargain Wednesday–Last 2018 edition

I hope everyone has enjoyed a marvelous and re-energizing holiday season. It’s definitely been a busy one around my household. And now that we’re winding things up for 2018, I wanted to jump in and mention a few freebie books and bargains I’ve noticed going on right now to help anyone load up a new gift Kindle or spend that bookseller gift card while you have the chance. I Love Spending Holiday Gift Cards–don’t you? So, in my aim to help, here are a few specials my friends and I are offering before New Year’s Day.

First, I gave away a new Bodies of Art Christmas story to my newsletter subscribers earlier in the week. If you’re a subscriber, and you didn’t see a newsletter land in your inbox on Christmas Eve, please check your Spam and/or Trash folders for the mailing. Hope you enjoy it!

Sunday Last Day Sales

Lovely sale on mysteries this weekend–nothing over 99¢–but it ends today. Grab a bargain if you’re in the mood for some fall reading. Then grab a cuppa and dive into the story. But this is the last day for these books to be on sale, so don’t miss them! Just Click Here then when you get to the sale page just click the covers you like. Easy peasy! There are more than 30 books available from 30+ mystery authors. Happy Reading!

Flash Friday Fiction News!

Besides my running a 99¢ Flash Sale on Organized for Homicide right now, I just learned a couple of my friends also have Flash Sale books running at the moment for me to share with you.

Larissa Reinhart has a 99¢ Flash Sale going on 15 Minutes , the first book in her Maizie Albright Star Detective series. These books are personal favorites of mine, and I twist her arm to let me read them first each time. Click the title above to shoot over to the link to buy at any bookseller.

And for the next fun Flash Sale, even the author did not know about this one. Carolyn Haines just posted that her publisher is running Wishbones, book 8 in the Sarah Booth Delaney series for only $2.99. I read this book years ago in hardback, but decided to get a handy Kindle version at this price. A trip to Zinnea, Mississippi to see Sarah Booth and the gang is always a treat.

I do not know how long these deals will last so grab the bargains while you can. Happy Reading.

Time for Thursday Thoughts, Boughts, and Things Going On–

Hey there! Hope everyone is settling into the changing seasons. I know I’ve been enjoying the return of long sleeves to my wardrobe, and I have a fun new hoodie I just love. I’ve also ordered a gorgeous new scarf that I’ll try to remember to post when it arrives. I love autumn in America!

Speaking of fall, have you been enjoying the new television season? I recently subscribed to BritBox, and I am finding SO MANY shows I hadn’t seen before and love! That’s another “new bought” for me, along with a recent release from Nancy Atherton–I just cannot get enough Aunt Dimity and Reginald!

If you’ve liked My FB Author Page keep an eye on there and/or on your FB notifications tomorrow so you won’t miss out on another fun giveaway I have planned. For now, I’ll keep the details a surprise, but there will be multiple winners for Kindle ebook copies of a title in a wonderful series by one of my favorite author friends. So watch for it on My FB Author Page.

I’m currently putting a final polish on the manuscript for the next Bodies of Art Mystery, due out in 2019, and doing the same to the final version of the first Frugal Lissa mystery that comes out in a few weeks. But for fans of my Organized Mysteries series–or for cozy readers who’ve been meaning to try the books–the second book in the Organized Mysteries series, Organized for Homicide, is bargain priced at 99¢ At All Booksellers until the weekend —

The Organized Mysteries are each written as standalone stories, so you don’t have to have read the first to enjoy the second one. This time around, Kate & Meg are hired to plan the cross-country move of an executive father and his children–until the organizing duo finds a dead body and realize they have to make sure the murder is solved before a young woman’s future is ruined. Things get more challenging when Kate realizes the murderer is keeping tabs on her. Like the other books in the series, Kate shares organizing tips and timesaving recipes.

So what do reviewers and bloggers say? Here’s one–

“If you enjoy cozy type mysteries, I think you’ll enjoy this light fast read.”
~ Murder Most Cozy

And for your convenience, here are the bookseller buy links if you’d like to purchase or want more information.

Friday Giveaway–YAY!

Check out the pinned post on my FB Author Page for a chance to win one of five copies of Carolyn Haines’s CLACKING BONES that I’ll give away tomorrow. This is a fabulous Sarah Booth Delaney short mystery with a terrifically creepy Halloween feel. Love this story! If you’re ready for a Halloween read and want to win a copy, CLICK HERE! to go to my FB Author Page and leave a comment telling your favorite thing about Halloween. That’s all–do that and you’re entered. I’ll take names through tomorrow morning, and my neighbor’s granddaughter will be by to pick the winners. Be sure to Like my FB Author page if you want to receive a notification when the winners’ names are drawn.

Good luck–and BOO!

What’s New Wednesday?

In the last few weeks, I’ve been polishing and adding new content to Organized for Masked Motives, which first appeared in the Halloween Anthology, Midnight Mysteries. The anthology was only available in fall 2016 & 2017 and is now completely off-sale, never to return again in that format. It was fun getting this title ready as an individual release because I could lengthen it a bit and give it the kind of extra content always included in the rest of my Organized Mysteries series–something I couldn’t do with the anthology.

This time, Kate & Meg are up to their costumed necks in trouble on Halloween, when they find ghosts, ghouls and witches are not the only ones to beware of on fright night. But our dynamic organizing duo are on the case, as they multitask their normal mix of mom chores and business scores, all with volunteering at a school carnival in the same week. Oh, and doing a little crime solving too.

This is the lovely cover of Organized for Masked Motives, and I think my designer hit a home run. There’s no murder this time, but there is a crime–so no blood on the cover. Organized for Masked Motives hit booksellers’ pages yesterday evening, and will be on sale for only 99¢ everywhere for a limited time. Then the book heads into Kindle Unlimited for a while and the price goes up to $1.99. So, if you want the bargain or you want a format other than Kindle, please purchase your copy soon, as I always want happy readers 🙂

Is There a Signed Book in Your Future?

Happy Thursday, everyone! No better way to spend a Thursday than telling my readers that Dru’s Book Musing interviewed Laurel Beacham today over on the blog. Fun stuff! And Laurel kept back nothing!

To top that, one lucky commenter on the blog will win a Signed Copy of BRONZED BETRAYALS too.

So if you want a chance at a signed copy of the book, be sure to CLICK HERE to get to the Dru’s Book Musing blog. Leave a comment, and you could be the winner of the latest in the Bodies of Art Mysteries. Good Luck!

Totally Self-Promoting Tuesday & Happy Book Birthday to Me!

I believe in truth in advertising, hence the blog title, but I hope someone out there is as excited as I am today to say “It’s Here!” Preordered copies of Bronzed Betrayals hit e-readers around midnight last night. I’m assuming print copies have been mailed out too. This is the fifth book in the Bodies of Art Mysteries, and once I get enough coffee inside me we’re going to be doing some partying about this all day on My Facebook Author Page. So if you have a minute, join me over there for fun, trivia, giveaways, and all the kind of stuff that makes days like this one worthwhile 🙂

If you haven’t yet checked out Bronzed Betrayals, here’s what some of the early reviewers have said–

“Bronzed Betrayals is a sophisticated and intelligent contemporary suspense novel with a classic feel.  The book is riveting from the first page; the combination of high-intensity action, intricate plotting, and witty characters held me enthralled throughout the book.  A little lethal danger, a little romance, a little witty repartee, what more could we ask for? …Although there is connecting storyline for the series, each book has a self-contain plot, and Ritter Ames interweaves the backstory in such a way as not to confuse or distract from the current tale. While I think any reader would draw greater enjoyment from getting to know the characters as they are revealed through the series, I also believe that Bronzed Betrayals can be read as a standalone novel.” — Jeanie J, NetGalley reviewer

“I love the Bodies of Art Mystery Series by Ritter Ames and I always say the same thing:  I love the action, I love the suspense, I love the “gadgets”, and I love Laurel and Jack…and Nico and Cassie, too.  While there is a great mystery to solve in this story, I think the heart of it is really all about Laurel and her own, let’s call them demons.  She spends time in her own head – trying to navigate all that has happened to her, when she was young, when she was a teen, and now that she works as a…Ms. Ames writes her as an “art world socialite representing the Beacham Foundation.”  But oh, she is so much more…Whenever I read one of the stories in this series, I know that I will be carried away to whatever faraway place Laurel and Jack end up…the descriptions by Ms. Ames always blow me away because it truly feels like I’m right in the thick of things, in whatever country these two take their work, and I sometimes feel like I’m hanging from a ledge, just as Laurel would.” — Gale S, NetGalley reviewer

Sound interesting? You can find the description, of course, on the booksellers’ book pages for Bronzed Betrayals, but I thought it might be more interesting to include what readers said instead. You can get to the book description and more by clicking your favorite bookseller’s buy link at the Where to Buy My Books page. Bronzed Betrayals is right at the top of the page.

And if you’re still reading the earlier books in the series, the third title, Abstract Aliases, is on sale right now (but only a few more days) at only 99¢. Yes, it’s that price at all the booksellers, so just scroll on down to that title on the page in the link above, or head over to my On Sale Now! page, and you’ll find it is all about the sale and includes “quick to see” bookseller links to Abstract Aliases. Here’s the review on Abstract Aliases that appeared in Best of 2016 issue of Suspense Magazine in case you need more information–

Okay, that’s all from me. Be sure to drop by my FB Author Page today and say hi, maybe make a comment and win a prize! And if you’ve been meaning to buy Abstract Aliases, please remember to do so soon. I love when my reader get lovely bargains. Happy Reading, Everyone!
